11th and 12th graders are encouraged to
participate in Dual Enrollment at Palm Beach Community
College, Florida Atlantic University, or Palm Beach Atlantic University for one or two classes
per semester. Students must have a B average or above in
order to register and apply to this program. This experience enhances their college
admissions process and ensures their capacity to meet the
challenges of future schooling. MP has utilized this Dual
Enrollment program with great success for juniors and seniors.
It is always awe-inspiring to watch how our students grow
and are instilled with confidence and maturity during this
Summer school at
Matlock Preparatory runs for five weeks from 10:00 AM
to 2:00 PM, depending on individual schedules. Students
may attend for enrichment purposes, making up a grade, or
accelerating their current education. A student wishing
to graduate earlier than their prescribed date may take
credits in summer school to achieve this goal. Summer
school is open to all students throughout Palm Beach County.
Strict admissions criteria apply. A student may seek application
to the MP day school program while attending summer school. For more information, please visit our summer school page.
MP offers a home schooling program for
students who may be more comfortable in a one-on-one setting.
This program is offered to all students who work, are ill,
are in recovery, or have a life hardship. Students in this program earn a State of Florida High School Diploma and upon graduation can apply and attend post-secondary education in the same way
that our day students can.
Their workload at home is greater and a part time job or
other activity is essential unless they have an illness. Please go to our homeschooling page for more information.
